Cabinet refresh in Grants Pass Oregon

Grants Pass Painting recently completed a cabinet refinishing project in Grants Pass, Oregon. The home, built in 1942, featured original cabinets that had seen better days, with mismatched hinges, outdated handles, misdrilled holes, dings, dents, scratches, and doors and drawers that no longer closed properly.

The team began by removing the old hinges, hardware, and a broken lazy Susan. They meticulously filled and smoothed holes, dents, and dings before applying an oil-based primer. A highly durable, silky smooth finish was then applied, and new hardware and hinges were installed. To ensure functionality, several drawers were planed to close smoothly. Additionally, a custom-built corner shelf was designed and installed to maximize space utilization.

This cabinet painting project exemplifies how cabinet refinishing can transform a kitchen for a fraction of the cost of replacement. Grants Pass Painting’s comprehensive process includes disassembly and labeling, thorough cleaning, filling imperfections, sanding, priming, caulking, and finishing with multiple coats. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality breathe new life into dated spaces, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.

For homeowners looking to update their kitchens, this project serves as a testament to the impact of professional cabinet refinishing. Grants Pass Painting’s expertise ensures that even the most worn-out cabinets can be revitalized, preserving the home’s character while providing a fresh, modern look.
